About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery, be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required, must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 25 + lbs., must be able to stand, bend, reach over-head and twist for long periods of time, must be able to stand 10-12 hours a day on hard floors, climb fixed ladders, work in a hot, dusty, damp/warm environment, with a high concentration of allergens such as chick down/ dust, etc.

Requirements

  • 6 months of continuous work history within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of 1 - year related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications and working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting and the use of shop tools preferred.
  • Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered. (Example: Yard chickens, guineas, peacocks, parakeets, parrots, etc.)
  • Possess a Boiler Certification or have the ability to acquire one within 6 months.
  • Animal well - being background check is required if necessary.
  • Only applicants from the following counties will be considered: Washington, Benton, Madison counties in AR and Adair County in OK. (within a 50-mile radius of the ITC Hatchery).
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
