About The Position

Job Title: Clinical Registered Dietitian Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Day - Monday-Friday (Hybrid + Flexible Hours) & 1 rotating weekend per 3 weeks. Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD We are offering a $5,000 New Hire Sign-on Bonus to external applicants (1 year of experience in acute care). Position Purpose: The Clinical Registered Dietitian completes nutrition assessments and provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner.. As a “Clinical Registered Dietitian” you will: Completes nutrition assessments and provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner. Delivers individualized nutrition care to patients while performing within the scope of practice per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary care team and participates in Performance Improvement projects. Provides nutrition education for the patients, family, medical and non-medical staff and community. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR verification statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Requirements is required.
  • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Maryland is required.
  • Active status as Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN), or Registered Dietitian Eligible (RDE) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
  • Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with physicians, patients, families, and other hospital staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information and situations.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English with understanding.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
