This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to trouble shooting, repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance of all facility equipment. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be willing and able to: Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction. Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems. Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. Complete appropriate paperwork and reports Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs. Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs. Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision. Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed. HAZMAT/respirator training required. Perform other duties as assigned.
