About The Position

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager at Freudenberg is responsible for planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure high equipment uptime and rapid response to breakdowns. This role involves setting maintenance priorities, schedules, and goals, effectively allocating work, and leading a team to meet measurable targets. The manager will develop and coordinate maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime and extend the life of critical assets. Key duties include maintaining accurate machinery records, specifications, and manuals, supporting new equipment installations and capital projects, and ensuring compliance with all legal and internal health, safety, and environmental requirements while promoting a strong safety culture. The position also requires coordinating maintenance activities with production schedules to consistently meet quality and customer requirements, developing employees, modeling company values, and actively contributing to plant sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance activities in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams or technical employees.
  • Experience with maintenance systems, reliability practices, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, permits to work, risk assessments, and contractor oversight.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced production setting.
  • Professional English communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
