About The Position

Our Maintenance Fabricator Technician will be responsible for maintenance procedures for all maintenance shop equipment, including lubrication, cleanliness, setup, periodic inspections, preventative maintenance procedures from a checklist, minor mechanical adjustments, and equipment/part replacement. This role will require a working schedule of Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Requirements

  • High School or GED diploma
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret company policy and procedure, safety rules, equipment operation, and maintenance instructions.
  • Must have the ability to prepare and write routine reports and correspondence.

Nice To Haves

  • Related experience, Certification, and/or Associate Degree in the Mechanical field are highly preferred.
  • Must have demonstrable prior knowledge of refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Report all equipment failures to appropriate supervisors in writing and verbally.
  • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
  • Maintain an orderly and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Utilize SAP computer maintenance system.
  • Prepare, read, write and understand reports and correspondence.
  • Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.
  • Advise others on ways to improve processes or products.
  • Strictly adhere to company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper lock-out/tag-out procedures, using proper lifting technique, wearing proper protective equipment related to duties.
  • Adhere to all company and plant policies related to GMP’s and JSA’s on shop equipment.
  • Perform maintenance by use of hand tools, power tools, and fabricating equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance per standard procedures.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, with the use of appropriate electrical measuring instruments and electrical schematics.
  • Perform basic hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
  • Perform Stainless Steel TIG Welding Procedures up to and including the 3A Sanitary Standards which will include all tubing and piping welds that have been purged.
  • Perform all fabrication tasks utilizing the vertical mill, lathe, sheet metal brake, shear, band saw, and shaper.
  • Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
  • Design tools, fixtures, or other devices for production equipment.
  • Prepare working sketches for the illustration of product appearance.
  • Create diagrams or blueprints for work pieces or products.
