We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic & skilled Maintenance Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to our efforts to put olive oil in every kitchen in America, by making it easy, fun, and exciting to switch to Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a Maintenance environment at a top performing CPG company and learn from a passionate team of manufacturing professionals. This internship is on site at Corporate Headquarters at 4201 Pulaski highway in Baltimore 5 days a week full time. Requirements

  • Enrolled in a four-year University studying applicable coursework in Engineering, Business Management or Manufacturing
  • Must be available to work June 8th – August 14th on site at 4201 Pulaski Hwy at Pompeian HQ manufacturing plant
  • Outstanding computer skills including PowerPoint, Microsoft word and Excel
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
  • Strong understanding of inventory and capacity to quickly identify problems and create solutions
  • Must comply with all company policies, practices, procedures and GMP’s
  • Must feel comfortable lifting up to 10 pounds if needed
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, innovation, and initiative

Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and maintain spare parts inventory within the MaintainX System, ensuring accurate part counts and descriptions
  • Organize, label, and standardized spare parts drawers, shelves, and storage locations to improve efficiency
  • Assist with tracking inventory usage, identifying low-stock items, and notifying supervisors of reorder needs
  • Assist with auditing spare parts to verify accuracy between physical inventory and digital records
  • Assist with basic parts inspections and routine maintenance activities
  • Follow safety protocols, GMP’s company procedures while working in maintenance areas
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant maintenance workspaces and storage rooms
  • Assist with documentation of maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to improve organization and workflow
  • Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations and sustainable goals
  • Perform duties per Pompeian’s mission, goals and core values
  • All other duties and tasks assigned to support the Maintenance department
