About The Position

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to our Engineering Team and will gain valuable experience supporting our manufacturing plants or project teams in various areas. You will be exposed to key engineering functions such as seeing a project through the entire project cycle, from concept to completion, and working on projects according to customer specifications and within schedule and budget limitations. Throughout the summer, you will own a key project relating to a relevant business problem and have the opportunity to present your insights and recommendations to leadership. Outside of this, you will partake in several development workshops and build connections with your peers and our business leaders through social & networking events.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Industrial) or related field.
  • Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Working knowledge of project management software, preferably MS Project.
  • Must be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of a project to interact with all COEs, demonstrating analytical abilities and critical thinking skills while helping to solve real-life business problems.
  • Knowledge and experience with core engineering functions through your daily tasks and projects.
  • Strong collaboration within the engineering team, the plant team, cross-functional project teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Active participation in Pure Ambition program activities.
