As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll ensure our senior living community operates smoothly by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff. We're looking for a skilled and dependable professional with experience in maintenance or facilities management and qualifications such as knowledge of HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minnesota Special Engineer license required (Second Class C preferred).
Valid Minnesota's Driver's License.
Three years of experience in building maintenance systems within a comparable facility.
Physical capabilities to perform all essential job functions.
Ability to pass state mandated background checks.
Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with residents, staff, and visitors.

Nice To Haves

Additional education in mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain Core Building Systems - Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC, and other essential mechanical systems. Complete daily work orders, routine checks, and preventive maintenance tasks across the community.
Support Energy Management & Equipment Care - Monitor the energy management system and log key information. Schedule and track equipment servicing to ensure functionality and longevity.
Lead Safety-Focused Operations - Know and follow emergency protocols, responding appropriately during fire, weather, or mechanical incidents. Assist in maintaining a safe physical environment that supports both residents and staff.
Provide After-Hours Support - Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to respond to after-hours maintenance needs.
