About The Position

Toyota is seeking a Maintenance Engineer responsible for providing technical support to maximize equipment uptime, troubleshooting equipment failures while analyzing performance, and helping to improve the reliability of our assets.

  • 2 year technical degree in Industrial maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies to identify potential faults before they cause equipment failure.
  • Systems optimization
  • Analyze equipment performance data to suggest and implement improvements for increased reliability and efficiency.
  • Critical spare parts
  • Identify critical spare parts for existing and new equipment
  • Identify obsolete spare parts and build plans for alternative spare parts or equipment retrofit
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving system components
  • Extensive ability to troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment using multi-meter, hand tools, and computer software
  • Understanding of complex PLC instructions and function block usage, able to troubleshoot and make changes as needed. (experience with Omron CJ/NJ PLC’s preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HMI programming (Omron NS/NA preferred)
  • Working knowledge of field buses including DeviceNet, RS232, Ethercat, and Ethernet IP
  • Working knowledge of Complex electrical controls and circuit analysis.
  • Ability to read schematics (electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic)
  • Document changes to schematics/update in Autocad
  • Working knowledge of safety controls including light curtains and safety scanners. Able to Connect and troubleshoot safety PLC/devices and repair/replace as needed.
  • Working knowledge of Complex industrial automation systems and equipment, including CNC Machining Centers (Mazak and Okuma controls preferred)
  • Working knowledge of variable frequency drives
  • Basic knowledge of servo motion control
  • Complex mechanical skills to repair equipment
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic controls
  • Basic knowledge of robotic applications with PLC integration (Motoman robotics experience preferred)
  • CMMS system admin, Continual updating of PM’s and system software
  • Schedule system upgrades and research solutions for improvement
  • Repairing and maintaining Mig welding equipment, Use of knowledge and understanding of basic welding fundamentals
  • Shielding gas types and ratios
  • Circuit continuity confirmation
  • Calibration of voltage, wire feed rate, and gas flow
  • Understanding of weld fume health impact
  • Work unscheduled overtime to complete assigned jobs to ensure meeting of production goals
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned
