About The Position

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating a variety of services to ensure buildings, grounds, and properties are consistently well-maintained and in good repair. This role involves maintaining properties across all aspects of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and painting work. You will personally complete maintenance and remodeling tasks and, with the support of the maintenance supervisor, arrange for outside contractors as needed. Effective time management is essential to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple demands simultaneously. This is an unlimited driving position, requiring work at 2-4 sites per day.

Requirements

At least two years of building maintenance experience, including heating, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
Ability to evaluate cost-effectiveness and implement preventative maintenance measures
Strong decision-making and communication skills
Responsible, mature, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be comfortable working with individuals living in our group homes with various disabilities
High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related areas
Experience with drywall repair
Finish carpentry skills

Responsibilities

Coordinate a variety of services to assure buildings, grounds, and properties are always well maintained and in good repair
Maintain condition of the properties with regards to all aspects of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and painting work
Personally complete maintenance and remodeling tasks
Arrange to have maintenance and remodeling items done by outside contractors as needed (with support of the maintenance supervisor)
Manage time effectively with operations to keep up with tight deadlines and many other demands at one time
Work 2-4 sites per day as an unlimited driving position
