The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on all hotel equipment including kitchen, plumbing, pool, HVAC, boiler, work areas and guest rooms. The Engineer will use communication and guest service skills to interact with guests and respond to all room calls as necessary. To keep everything in order, the Engineer will maintain proper records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program and Request Program. To succeed in this position, you should be able to stand for periods of 8-10 hours, be able to bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space and be able to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English. While not required, HVAC, electrical and plumbing experience is preferred. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel. Coordinate and performs preventative maintenance assignments on a schedule basis (e.g., “room care”). Services the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs. Assists other Engineering Personnel when needed. Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
