About The Position

La Colina Apartments is actively searching for a professional, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join the Team. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall duties at the property. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Communicate effectively with on-site staff including other maintenance staff and office staff. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment. Daily communication with Manager and Assistant Manager through daily meetings. Ensure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the Manager using approved communication programs and standards. Maintain Daily Work Logs Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Safely perform all maintenance tasks as directed by the Manager, ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and local and National codes. Assist other maintenance staff with maintenance issues as directed by the Manager. Clear stoppages; install faucets/garbage disposals/pipes inside and outside walls; water heater repair/replacement; toilet repair/replacement; light electrical work such as installation of light fixtures; outlet repair/replacement; GFI installation; turnover of vacant apartments including installation of appliances, painting/drywall and other maintenance jobs as requested by Manager. Ability to use a computer to log in hours each day including breaks. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by Management. Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience.
  • Basic Plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting.
  • Proper tool and chemical use.
  • Experience in all phases of maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Property Management experience preferred
