About The Position

ETK EMS is expanding into the U.S. and is looking for a hands-on, technically minded Maintenance Engineer who is excited to grow with the company in Cumming, GA. As Maintenance Engineer, you will manage and maintain equipment critical to PCB assembly processes. You will work directly with the Production Manager and the rest of the Cumming team. This role involves operating and performing preventive maintenance of machines involved in EMS processes (Pick & Place, SPI/AOI, wave/selective soldering and PCB milling), along with setting up and optimizing process parameters. You will also be responsible for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for new equipment and ensuring seamless machine integration into the production workflow.

Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related practical experience.
  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in electronic manufacturing, where similar type of machines were handled. (we don’t expect you have experience in all the machines, we will support with training).
  • Comfortable working with modern PLC-controlled machines, software interfaces and process data.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Curious, proactive and self-motivated - quick to learn, confident calling suppliers and ready to pitch in wherever needed.
  • Strong problem-solving / trouble shooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a smaller, fast-changing environment where teamwork and initiative are valued.
  • Capable of balancing busy production days with quieter maintenance or set-up work.
  • Able to communicate clearly (email/phone) and build constructive relationships with machine suppliers.
  • You must be able to work legally in the US without sponsoring work visas/permit and have a valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and optimize production line output (Lasermarker, screenprinter (DEK/ASM), SPI(SAKI), pick-and-place machines(Yamaha), AOI(SAKI), reflow oven(Victronic), wave soldering machine (ERSA), Selective soldering machine (ERSA), and depanel machine. Almost all machines are less than 3 years old.
  • Carry out scheduled minor preventive maintenance activities for all related equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Secure external maintenance is done on scheduled time
  • Identify and solve equipment/process issues during production runs to minimize production stop and ensure production is flowing
  • Ensure production quality, meets the requirements in IPC 610, J-STD-001, internal and customer quality requirements. Ensure ESD and MSL standards are followed
  • Support production operators, QA and maintenance tasks as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Help drive continuous improvement of production quality and machine uptime.
