About The Position

Position: Maintenance Engineering Specialist Duties: Responsible for providing a variety of roles within the Maintenance Department required to support the planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution and documentation of plant maintenance and project functions. Interface with the maintenance, purchasing, production and shipping departments as required to provide the engineering and project support necessary to optimize equipment reliability and up-time and efficient plant project planning and implementation. Provide engineering and project management oversight for plant modifications and projects from conception through implementation, this includes both capital and non-capital projects and includes the development of expenditure requests, project justification, construction oversight and documentation. Establish and manage full maintenance program (Productive, Preventive and Predictive) and reliability engineering. Lead and manage the preventive maintenance program by continual review and optimization Management of maintenance programs within budget. Assist Maintenance Management in the development of maintenance practices and procedures to ensure production capacity objectives are achieved. Provide engineering and troubleshooting support for the Maintenance Department. Conduct equipment evaluations and develop appropriate maintenance and reliability programs, and industrial machine design for reliability. Coordinate and develop root cause failure analysis on critical equipment failures, providing problem solving and continuous improvement with focus on long-term reliability, serviceability and availability. Initiate, plan and design improvements to current maintenance processes to ensure safety, quality, customer satisfaction and productivity. Coordinate/conduct technical and administrative training for members of the Maintenance Department. Coordinate with Purchasing Department to ensure timely acquisition of maintenance parts, while managing part inventory. Guarantee the observation of safety, environmental and quality systems, norms, policies and regulations. Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in an automation maintenance or manufacturing engineering position within the automotive chassis frame industry.
  • Experience must include monitoring and implementation of new automation projects for assembly lines, stamping and prototypes.
  • managing the supply chain and inventory management at an automotive industry manufacturing facility.
  • Must have hands-on experience providing critical analysis, guidance and direction regarding changes in assembly lines, production processes and equipment improvements at manufacturing facilities.
