Maintenance Engineer (Technician)
About The Position
As a Maintenance Engineer at Dungarvin, you will be responsible for coordinating a variety of services to ensure buildings, grounds, and properties are always well maintained and in good repair. This position involves maintaining the condition of properties with regards to all aspects of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and painting work. You will personally complete maintenance and remodeling tasks and, with the support of the maintenance supervisor, will arrange for these same items to be done by outside contractors as needed. It is essential to manage your time effectively to keep up with tight deadlines and many other demands simultaneously. This is an unlimited driving position, requiring you to work at 2-4 sites per day, with mileage reimbursed per Federal standard. Dungarvin is a national company providing community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those facing mental health, behavioral, or significant medical challenges.
Requirements
- At least two years of building maintenance experience, including heating, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
- Ability to evaluate cost-effectiveness and implement preventative maintenance measures
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Responsible, mature, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working with individuals living in our group homes with various disabilities
- High school diploma required
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related areas
- Experience with drywall repair
- Finish carpentry skills
Responsibilities
