About The Position

This position reports to the Supervisor of SWT, Plant Operations, and is responsible for carrying out both corrective and planned maintenance tasks as assigned. The Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services by performing maintenance on mechanical equipment and general building upkeep. Responsibilities may include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure to support a functional healthcare environment. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the plant operations team to prioritize tasks and maintain operational safety standards.

Requirements

Two (2) years plant or maintenance experience.
High School education or GED
Two (2) years plant experience working on mechanical equipment: Chillers, package boilers, cooling towers, Building Management System (BMS), HVAC.

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years plant or maintenance experience
EPA 608 universal certification, trade school or on the job training
Knowledge of CMMS
Experience in general maintenance in one or more of the following: Plumbing, Electrical, medical gas systems, BMS (controls), fire alarm, nurse call, temperature monitoring, carpentry, pneumatic tube systems, and other general maintenance.
