Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Maintenance Electrical Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery and infrastructure by applying electrical expertise and adhering to company and regulatory safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical safety practices.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters).
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite in Oswego, IL, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).

Nice To Haves

  • Journey Electrician License.
  • OSHA 10/30 Hour, NFPA 70E Certification, or Arc Flash Safety Training.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Technical or Vocational Training in Industrial Electricity is a plus.
  • 5 years of electrical maintenance experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and control panels.
  • Install, test, and service wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with codes and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to perform accurate diagnostics.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Document all maintenance activities in CMMS and support inventory/parts management.
  • Obtain Forklift Certification within 60 days of hire.
