About The Position

Founded in 1992, Pretium Packaging is a leading manufacturer of injection-blow molded plastic containers, serving brand owners across North America. Our St. Louis facility is a key operation within our network, and we are seeking an experienced Electrician / Maintenance Technician to help maintain uptime, reliability, and safety across our production equipment and facility systems. PLC Programming Experience is required for this position The Electrician / Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM , offering stability and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on electrical and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Strong experience with industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase systems preferred).
  • Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), VFDs, sensors, and automated production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including hydraulics, pneumatics, and general industrial maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or blow molding environments.
  • Experience working in a Lean or continuous improvement-driven facility.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, motors, drives, and automated equipment.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and industrial control systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Document maintenance activities in CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.
  • Support facility systems including HVAC, compressors, and other plant utilities as needed.
