About The Position
The Maintenance Director at Sunrise Meadows Senior Living is responsible for the ongoing preventative maintenance of the facility building, equipment, and grounds. This role also involves troubleshooting maintenance problems as they arise and ensuring that maintenance services are available for emergency needs outside of regular working hours. The director performs most tasks independently and utilizes properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance when necessary. Additionally, the Maintenance Director assists residents with moving and minor repairs.
Requirements
- Prior experience in building maintenance
- Prior experience in managing a team
- Must possess knowledge of Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.
- Must possess knowledge of HVAC, including but not limited to general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration
- Must possess knowledge of Electricity, including but not limited to wiring, voltage, amperage
- Must possess knowledge of Mechanics, including but not limited to design/operation of engines
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have clean driving record with no major violations

- Performing most tasks independently
- Utilizing properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance with tasks when needed
- Assisting residents with moving and minor repairs
- Practicing good safety awareness and following safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable
- Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating
- Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors
