About The Position

Maintenance Director (Skilled Nursing Facility Experience Required) Bear Creek Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director with a strong background in skilled nursing facility (SNF) operations and Life Safety compliance. This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the building is fully compliant, safe, and survey-ready at all times. We are looking for someone who understands the complex regulatory environment of a healthcare facility, not general maintenance or residential work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Director (or similar role) in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Code (LSC) regulations and survey process (required)
• Experience managing Life Safety compliance, inspections, and regulatory readiness
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Oversee all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment
• Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and work orders
• Maintain and manage the Life Safety Code (LSC) binder
• Ensure ongoing compliance with state, federal, and Life Safety regulations (CMS, AHCA)
• Prepare for and lead Life Safety surveys and inspections
• Conduct routine audits and correct deficiencies proactively
• Oversee fire safety systems, drills, and emergency preparedness plans
• Ensure compliance with all fire, safety, and disaster readiness requirements
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate vendors/contractors
• Manage departmental budgets, supplies, and inventory
• Partner with leadership to support overall facility operations
