About The Position
Maintenance Director – Skilled Nursing Facility Huntsville Health Care Center – Huntsville, TX Huntsville Health Care Center is seeking a skilled, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall physical upkeep of our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience , preferably in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or similar setting
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience in maintaining regulatory compliance (Life Safety Code, Fire Safety, OSHA) is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility upkeep
- Diagnose and resolve issues with equipment, systems, and building infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all facility systems and equipment are functioning properly
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with leadership and staff to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
- Support emergency preparedness protocols and respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
