About The Position

Maintenance Director Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center 606 NE 7th Street | Trenton, FL 32693 Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care Community Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable, skilled, and approachable Maintenance Director to lead maintenance operations and oversee the Housekeeping and Laundry departments within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This role is ideal for a facilities leader who combines strong technical expertise with a professional, resident-focused presence. The Maintenance Director reports directly to the Administrator and plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, families, and staff. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management (required)
  • Leadership or supervisory experience required , preferably overseeing multiple departments
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Experience with life safety compliance and documentation
  • Knowledge of staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently while leading teams effectively
  • Professional, approachable demeanor suitable for a resident-facing healthcare environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the facility
  • Maintain and manage the Life Safety binder and all related compliance documentation
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Coordinate and manage outside vendors and contractors
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent facility needs
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Housekeeping and Laundry departments
  • Support staffing, scheduling, training, and daily workflow for environmental services teams
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment inventory
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a professional, approachable presence when interacting with residents, families, vendors, and staff
  • Collaborate closely with the Administrator and the leadership team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
