Maintenance Custodian - Glenwood YMCA
About The Position
The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Part Time Maintenance Custodian for our Glenwood YMCA location. Are you a problem-solver, organized, and mechanically inclined? Do you love being busy and making sure things run smoothly? If so, please read on! This position pays an hourly rate of $11.38 - $14.23/hour based on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENACE CUSTODIAN As a Maintenance Custodian at o ur Glenwood YMCA location, you are responsible to provide safe, clean, attractive and well-maintained facilities, vehicles and grounds, including preventative maintenance, and compliance with government agencies. You will work in a collaborative manner with the Executive Director to ensure facilities and project management standards and procedures are understood and fully accomplished. You are the eyes and ears of the property, providing security and safety to YMCA guests. With enthusiasm, you complete the general upkeep and maintenance of the entire property as assigned by the Executive Director. These maintenance tasks include but are not limited to: heating, electrical, plumbing, and pool upkeep. You assist staff to complete grounds keeping and special projects. You are also conscientious about keeping training and records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One-year previous maintenance experience
- Must be mature, capable, and a mechanically oriented person.
- Knowledge of necessary safety methods of the YMCA.
- Must have physical strength to lift/ load/carry at least 50 pounds and be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to sit or stand, bend, squat, kneel, walk and twist.
- Must be able to complete assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
- Love for the camping lifestyle

Responsibilities
