About The Position

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and evaluating the maintenance department personnel and supervising equipment modifications, repairs, and fabrication at the Plant. This role involves advanced troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, and coordination with plant department heads to schedule maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial process and packaging equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Experience in equipment fabrication and modification techniques.
  • Familiarity with applicable industrial codes, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team, ensuring that maintenance goals are met efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other department heads to identify opportunities for process improvements that can enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in contractor supervision and management of plant projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and heavy machinery.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.
  • Ability to respond to on-call emergencies and address breakdowns during off-hours.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Technical training or certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of maintenance department personnel.
  • Oversee equipment modification, repair, and fabrication.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for plant equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with plant department heads to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Generate and maintain detailed work instructions and maintenance documentation.
  • Supervise contractors and personnel assigned to plant maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industrial codes and standards in all maintenance operations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of company policies and ensure adherence to them in the maintenance department.
  • Correspond with contractors on work to be completed within the plant, review and sign work orders for payment.

  • Maintain plant rail line with monthly in plant inspections, yearly inspections from government, yearly procedure reviews from rail contractor.
