About The Position

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is proud to offer competitive wages and an exceptional benefits package! We are seeking to add a Maintenance Coordinator to our team. This full-time position will work throughout our six-county service area in Central MN. The primary purpose of this position is to complete general maintenance tasks and coordinate contracts and contracted maintenance workers for all Northern Pines facilities. Essential Functions include: Support coordination of contracts and contracted workers as requested regarding maintenance including but not limited to: Snow removal External landscaping and groundskeeping Office cleaning HVAC Plumbing Serve as point of contact for all facility-related contractors as requested by supervisor Maintain familiarity with all facilities in order to answer question for contractors Source contractors (contact, collect bids, etc.) as needed for special projects or new services Obtaining appropriate documentation from vendors and contractors including but not limited to: proof of insurance, tax documents Regularly visit all facilities and complete routine maintenance inspections on all Northern Pines facilities and address findings as needed Complete preventative maintenance tasks for buildings and equipment Monitor the Central Maintenance inbox. Receive and respond to general maintenance request from the entire agency in a timely manner Complete general maintenance tasks as needed. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Assembling or repairing office furniture Relocating large office items Cleaning gutters Shovel and/ or salt sidewalks Change furnace filters Change water filters Change light bulbs Check sump pumps Paint touch up Repair doors and fixtures Make recommendations regarding potential improvements in scheduled maintenance, equipment utilization, etc. that would improve safety, quality of service and/or be more cost effective Ensure all facilities are up to date on applicable building codes

Requirements

  • High school diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One year of applicable maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Sitting and/ or standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend/ reach/ stretch as needed
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Must be able to complete work in a variety of weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of applicable maintenance experience is preferred.
