About The Position

The Controls Technician will assume basic tasks relating to the production machines and will troubleshoot electrical and Mechanical problems on equipment. This position is responsible for observing equipment to provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor as needed. You will work Friday through Sunday from 6:00AM-6:00PM. Highlights of your role Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, providing feedback and ideas before any implementation of controls changes. (i.e. wiring changes, programming changes, or part change out such as VFD, servo motors) Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service. Learn the skills required to navigate PLC Programming. Work efficiently with work order system (EAM) to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant. Traces problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components. Maintains backups of programs from all electrical devices. Proper use a digital multimeter. Works closely with maintenance and is able to assist with troubleshooting electrical problems. Concisely and accurately documents set-points and parameters for equipment.

Requirements

  • 2-years experience in a closely related role is required
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Enterprise Asset Management software experience and ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs proficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred
