About The Position

A Maintenance team member will dispose of trash in the facility, sweep and mop all floors, maintain bathroom and office cleanliness, and execute minor repairs to the facility as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years’ experience in Maintenance/Cleaning
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
• Standard cleaning supplies, floor polishing equipment, standard hand tools.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, supervisors, and students.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Efficient with time management.
• Demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to the mission, vision, and goals of the and execution of relevant policies and procedures.
• Occasionally exert up to 150 pounds of force with the assistance of hand trucks as needed.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of this weight or lighter.
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
• Office environment with some outdoor tasks.
• Hours vary and are driven by operational needs. Overtime hours available as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility’s interior and exterior cleanliness.
• Regularly dispose of trash in the facility.
• Regularly sweep and mop all floors, and regularly vacuum mats.
• Maintain bathroom cleanliness and supplies.
• Execute minor repairs for the facility as needed.
• Report facility damage to the Building and Facilities Manager as needed.
• Manage deliveries to the facility as they arrive.
• Manage facility grounds, including but not limited to salting exterior walkways and shoveling snow as needed.
