Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform various activities on equipment and machines including reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work; Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems; Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs; Lubricate or apply other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures; Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications; Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance; Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment working on production equipment. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older; criminal background checks and drug screening required. Physical Requirements/ Environmental/ Working Conditions: Must be able to acquire and maintain a lift truck license within 60 days of hire/promotion. Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Able to safely work in a moderately conditioned, industrial process manufacturing environment Must be able to frequently climb 10-40 steps and occasionally climb 5-10 ladder rungs. Able to work in differing temperatures Non-traditional work schedules will be based on location needs or specific situations. Non-traditional work schedules will almost always be planned and coordinated in advance.
