About The Position

Maintenance Associate 1 Join our caring community at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, Nebraska! We are currently pursuing a hardworking and skilled full-time Maintenance Associate 1 to join our Plant Maintenance team. This position requires rotating on-call with a 30-minute response time. Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Required licensure/certification: Must have and provide a current and valid driver's license and Auto insurance in accordance with SRMC Policy

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 1-2 years maintenance experience and knowledge of mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems at SRMC and contracted facilities.
  • Repair and maintain all internal and external physical structures and grounds of Sidney Regional Medical Center properties.
  • Maintain and install equipment and systems.
  • Monitor, inspect, and test machinery and equipment, and performs scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Assist with disaster operations when necessary.
  • Repair patient/resident mechanical equipment (beds, wheelchairs, hovers, gurneys, other hospital and extended care equipment).
  • Snow removal assistance when necessary.
  • Maintain and repair kitchen equipment: garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts, and small appliances.
  • Perform minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving, and sheet rock repairs.
  • Knowledge and ability to run large equipment: scissor lifts, tractors, payloaders, forklifts, man lifts, etc.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
