About The Position
Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community located in Buffalo, NY, dedicated to providing older adults with the best possible living experience, offering a full continuum of care from independent living. This Maintenance Assistant position is a Regular Part Time role, requiring 22.5 hours per week. The scheduled hours are 7am - 3pm, with days varying.
Requirements
- Must have basic maintenance knowledge including painting, plumbing, etc.
- Must have one year of maintenance related employment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Complete work orders as assigned.
- Monitor buildings and grounds to ensure they are neat and possess a safe environment.
- Assist in preventative maintenance of the building.
- Maintain the emergency action plans.
- Complete snow removal and salting of all walkways and parking areas as needed.
- Perform landscaping of garden beds and grass areas as needed, including cutting, weeding, and watering.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents as needed.
- Provide courteous guest service.
