Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the daily upkeep, safety, and appearance of our senior living community. In senior living, maintenance is about more than repairs — it’s about ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Willingness to be flexible for occasional emergency response needs
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems
- Support preventative maintenance programs
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment
- Follow safety and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with emergency repairs as needed
- Help maintain organized maintenance records
