About The Position

Maintenance Assistant The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for all required maintenance functions within the community. Essential Job Functions (Including but not limited to the following) Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems, following safety procedures. Ensure community compliance with state and federal maintenance and safety requirements, including life-safety policies. Maintain grounds and facility in safe, clean, and orderly condition (lawn care, snow removal, outdoor/indoor repairs). Prepare apartments for resident move-ins in coordination with Sales and Marketing. Establish and follow preventive maintenance schedules; maintain a work order system. Inspect apartments, equipment, and systems for safety and functionality; document hazardous conditions. Act as contact for vendors performing maintenance tasks. Report all incidents and accidents in writing to supervisors. Assist with department staff training on emergency procedures and operational protocols. Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and provide input for operational and capital budgets.

Requirements

  • High school education.
  • Ability to relate professionally & work cooperatively with residents & staff at all levels.
  • Sensitive to the needs and concerns of the senior population.

  • Post-secondary or technical training is preferred.
