About The Position

To assist in the maintenance of all Comcare facilities, grounds and vehicles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to be insured as a vehicle driver by agency's insurance program.
• A valid driver's License.
• Good knowledge of basic English sufficient to read instructions, keep records and write reports.
• Successful completion of background and reference check. Successful completion of a drug screen.
• Basic knowledge of residential electrical wiring, plumbing and repair of residential appliances.
• Ability to perform all maintenance duties which will involve significant physical activities  including full range of motion for upper and lower body movements.
• Ability to perform repetitive bending and exertion movements daily including, but not limited to,  exertive holding, stooping, bending, twisting, turning, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and  others associated with maintenance tasks.
• Mobility sufficient to climb stairs daily and easily and enter and exit vans daily.

• Work experience in a related area is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine maintenance, repair and upkeep of all facilities, grounds and vehicles  as requested by Director of Physical Plant.
• Inspect facilities on a monthly basis using the "Monthly House Inspection" forms; report  any maintenance problems to Director of Physical Plant.
• Inspect all vehicles on a monthly basis using the "Monthly Van Inspection" forms; report  any maintenance problems to Director of Physical Plant.
• Respond to emergency repair calls.
• Report any maintenance problems noticed.
• Record all work done and materials used for repair on "Maintenance Request" forms and  turn them in to the Director of Physical Plant when the job is completed.  Initial forms in  appropriate place.
• Purchase necessary maintenance supplies.  Get prior authorization on any purchases of  $25.00 or more.
• Turn all invoices/receipts in to the Director of Physical Plant with the appropriate  program noted on them.
• Perform other assignments as requested.
