Maintenance Assistant – Reliable, Skilled, and Ready to Jump In
About The Position
Marian House is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the women and families we serve. In this role, you'll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to complete repairs, respond to service requests, and support the day-to-day upkeep of our facilities. Responsibilities include general maintenance (drywall, basic plumbing and electrical, fixture repairs), coordinating with vendors, maintaining common and resident spaces, and assisting with campus needs like furniture setup and seasonal tasks such as snow removal. Flexibility to respond to occasional maintenance emergencies is important.
Requirements
- 3+ years of maintenance or construction experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for communication and documentation
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
