About The Position

Hours of Work: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Limited Hour up to 27 hours per week Incumbents are non-benefited temporary laborers performing routine maintenance work for the City. Work direction is provided by assigned supervisor or designee. Previous work experience performing duties identified below is desirable; however, it is not required. Requirements

• Applicants must have a valid Washington State driver's license
• Must be able to verify employment eligibility at time of hire
• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent
• Must successfully pass the City's pre-employment substance abuse screening and position-relevant background check
• Must have an acceptable driving record
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance crews in routine litter collection
• Installation of Adopt-a-Street signs
• Installation and replacement of garbage receptacles and graffiti removal
• Incumbents are also required to operate standard size pickups and/or sedans with hand and foot control
• These positions may at times be required to work in high motor and pedestrian traffic areas
