About The Position

Our Opportunity GPJ is hiring a Maintenance and Inventory Specialist to join our growing team. This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Nashville, TN office location a minimum of 5 days per week. Your Role The Maintenance & Inventory Specialist is a hands-on role. This role is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and cleanliness of the warehouse and production equipment, with a focus on inventory management and general facility upkeep. You will serve as the primary point of contact for vendor and subcontractor coordination, overseeing building repairs and inspections while managing a highly organized tool crib and parts inventory. Your Skills Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and subcontractors; schedule and oversee building repairs, specialized maintenance, and inspections to ensure all work meets company standards and safety regulations. Facilities Tool Crib & Inventory Management: Maintain a highly organized tool crib; track part usage, conduct regular audits of inventory levels, and proactively order replacement components and maintenance supplies to prevent downtime. Infrastructure Oversight: Inspect and maintain building infrastructure, including doors, walls, floors, shelving, and lighting. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct and or schedule preventive maintenance on tools, machinery, HVAC systems, compressors,and safety equipment. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems within the warehouse. Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict safety compliance and maintain a clean, organized environment throughout the warehouse and shop floor. Track and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and warehouse staff to support production timelines and minimize equipment downtime. Documentation: Diligently document all maintenance activities, equipment logs, and safety checks for compliance and historical tracking. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure facility safety and continuity. Physical Requirements: Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform manual tasks in an industrial setting. Administrative Support: Maintain strong attention to detail and time management; may be required to maintain office areas in addition to the warehouse and shop.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; trade school or vocational training in carpentry, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a warehouse or industrial shop.
  • Strong working knowledge of carpentry tools, paint application systems, and basic mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform manual tasks in an industrial setting.
