Maintenance and Groundskeeping Technician
About The Position
McKinley is looking for an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to join our team at one of our communities located in Taylor, MI! This role will consist of primarily groundskeeping duties (80%) as well as some tasks in residential maintenance (20%). Compensation: $18/hour + on call bonuses Position Information: As the Maintenance and Grounds expert of your community you will be responsible for completing work orders to maintain and repair physical structures of buildings and grounds. 80% Groundskeeping Ensure the physical aspects of the property meet the company standards and applicable laws Keeping our apartment community in a clean and orderly condition 20% Maintenance Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as, but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, dry wall repair, appliance maintenance, carpet cleaning and exterior structure maintenance
Requirements
- Experience working in maintenance, groundskeeping, or other trades
- Skills in one or more technical areas desired including: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry and drywall
- On-call duty, including weekends and holidays required
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
Nice To Haves
- EPA Universal Certification preferred but not required
- Previous residential maintenance experience desired
