Job Summary: The Maintenance and Facilities Lead will help lead and support the Director of Maintenance and Facilities with general maintenance and upkeep of the club.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined with all-around knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration.
  • Hands-on capabilities for repairs.
  • Organizational abilities to coordinate club projects and renovations.
  • Understanding of energy management and related systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline projects and utilize technical support staff.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with third-party contractors and technicians as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and feedback.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a faced-paced environment.
  • 2-year degree in related field preferred with continuing education in engineering, HVAC, plumbing or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with a proven track record.

Responsibilities

  • Help support the Director of Maintenance and Facilities with oversight of the facilities department.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Director of Maintenance and Facilities Director, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Assistant General Manager, as needed.
  • Assist in managing the Club’s ongoing preventive maintenance program including but not limited to HVAC, electric, plumbing, roofing, elevators, and all Club buildings along with ice machines, laundry equipment, kitchen exhaust hoods and equipment, and pools.
  • Help train and schedule staff within the Facilities, Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and respond to service calls.
  • Conduct daily facility walkabouts and specific site inspection on an as-needed basis.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the paddle house, tennis building, course bathrooms and surroundings.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.
  • Assists in training colleagues in proper safety techniques.
  • Supports the Director of Maintenance and Facilities with the coordination of implementing, roll-out, training and establishment of the asset management work order system.
  • Keeps a flexible schedule to include work in the evenings and weekends, when necessary.
  • Other duties as needed by the business.
