About The Position

This critical role ensures production goals are being met, new product development opportunities are supported, and site assets are being maintained and improved at the Copley Site. Through this role, the individual will coordinate with teams like safety, quality, supply chain, TS&D, engineering, and peers at other global sister sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years manufacturing/operations experience.
  • 2+ years leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a respectful work environment where everyone can contribute to their full potential.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies, setting goals and maintaining data metrics to drive decision making and improvements.
  • Self-starter with good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, develop, coach and mentor others.
  • Strong written and spoken communications and computer skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the elements of Process Safety Management
  • Experience with safety processes and systems including safety improvement processes, audits and developing safe behaviors; SHE knowledge/experience
  • Be able to lead and manage projects (Minor/Small/Large)
  • Able to organize and prioritize numerous complex tasks.
  • Able to provide technical training to site.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with customer focus are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge base in extrusion technology is preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement Background: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified/Lean Manufacturing Methodology

Responsibilities

  • Support new product development opportunities through production trials.
  • Lead the capital planning process and project execution efforts at the site
  • Lead the maintenance/reliability team to drive improved reliability and appropriate responsiveness to equipment failures to support production plan
  • Supervise and direct maintenance/reliability team (3 people)
  • Write and deliver recognition, progressive discipline, and performance reviews (in partnership with site manager)
  • Develop and sustain site reliability plans.
  • Works with and coaches shift teams to troubleshoot and optimize plant operations in order to meet goals related to asset capability, costs, conversion and quality.
  • Coordinates with SHE team to ensure day-to-day SHE activities like issuing of permits, Job risk Analysis are followed as per site requirements.
  • Lead process safety related efforts onsite
  • Participate in the DuPont compounding network
  • Lead site Energy Reduction efforts
  • Maintains an understanding of all applicable process technology, equipment and control technology.
  • Support as site technology subject matter expert.
  • Utilizes and develops Operating Discipline documentation
  • Acts as focal point for engineering documents (P&IDs, etc.)
  • Supervise engineer interns
  • Develop/train/coach/mentor employees using site and DuPont resources.
