About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III performs skilled work in the specialized and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems and building systems and equipment, responds to emergency calls after hours, secure facility at night, respond to after hour resident calls and summon outside services as needed to provide for the comfort and wellbeing of residents. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction. This position may have lead/supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of previous experience in building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current & valid Drivers’ License and driving record free of major infractions
  • Availability that includes evenings and some weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support maintenance staff by assigning tasks, prioritizing work orders, and acting in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor or Administrator.
  • Perform general maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and minor mechanical repairs.
  • Install, repair, and maintain building systems, fixtures, appliances, and equipment in resident units and throughout the community.
  • Monitor facility systems including fire alarms, roofing, flooring, and emergency equipment.
  • Respond to work orders promptly and maintain safe, clean work areas.
  • Provide courteous service to residents and staff while following facility safety procedures and completing required trainings.
