About The Position

Perform duties to maintain and repair a variety of building and plant equipment, construct facility, production and office work areas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works from electrical and blueprints, wiring diagrams, sketches, machine manuals and instructions. Troubleshoots and repairs simple electrical problems. Troubleshoots mechanical problems. Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors and adjust feed mechanisms. Uses basic carpentry skills. Uses basic plumbing skills. Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing equipment. Runs conduit and wiring. Paints walls, ceilings, machines or equipment or fixtures of building. Patches or replaces plaster fixtures. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Use micrometers, calipers and like equipment, electrical measuring instruments, set up and runs lathe, mill, cutting torch and arc welder. May use powered industrial truck and hand pallet jack. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned.
