The Maint Mechanic 1 role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing various aggregate processing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborating with operations and safety teams to ensure reliable plant performance during second shift operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capability to maintain and repair heavy industrial and aggregate processing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Commitment to safe work practices in a quarry or aggregate production environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make sound maintenance decisions during independent shift work.
  • Dependable, team-oriented approach with effective communication skills.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders, and other aggregate processing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to support safe, efficient aggregate production during second shift operations.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete timely corrective repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders related to aggregate equipment.
  • Collaborate with operations and safety teams to maintain reliable plant performance.
