About The Position

Chapman Chevrolet is hiring a Main Line Technician to join our team! We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on automotive professional who takes pride in strong diagnostics, quality workmanship, and fixing vehicles right the first time. In this role, you will perform advanced vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while helping customers keep their vehicles safe and reliable. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience required (heavy line and transmission experience preferred)
Strong hands-on mechanical skills and deep knowledge of automotive systems
Ability to diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs correctly the first time
ASE and/or GM certifications preferred
Must have your own tools and toolbox
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Effective communication and basic computer skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

ASE and/or GM certifications preferred
Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience required (heavy line and transmission experience preferred)

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C
Perform routine maintenance services and comprehensive vehicle inspections
Use advanced diagnostic tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues
Apply strong hands-on skills to complete repairs efficiently and fix it right the first time
Execute work specified on repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
Identify and communicate additional repair needs to Service Advisors with accurate time estimates
Complete warranty repairs in compliance with manufacturer specifications
Maintain accurate documentation of all services and repairs performed
Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Stay current with ongoing training and evolving automotive technology
