About The Position

Engineer Mainframe SAS Developer Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Proven experience as a SAS Developer/Programmer in a mainframe environment. Extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Server. Strong proficiency in Base SAS, SAS/Macros, SAS/SQL, SAS/ODS, and relevant SAS procedures. Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies such as JCL, COBOL (desired), DB2, and VSAM. Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. Proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and validation Roles & Responsibilities Mainframe Data Processing & SAS Development: Write, test, and maintain efficient SAS programs (Base SAS, SAS/Macros, SAS/SQL, SAS/ODS) to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various mainframe sources (DB2, VSAM, flat files). Develop and modify JCL (Job Control Language) scripts to schedule and run batch processing jobs on the mainframe, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Perform data manipulation, cleansing, validation, and modeling using advanced SAS techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Troubleshoot and debug existing SAS and mainframe programs, identifying and resolving data and performance issues in a timely manner. Tableau Reporting & Visualization: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports that translate complex data into actionable business insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications and effective visualization solutions. Establish connections to data sources, perform data blending, and create calculated fields, parameters, and hierarchies within Tableau to enhance data analysis. Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability, ensuring a seamless user experience. Publish dashboards and data sources to Tableau Server, managing user access, security, and refresh schedules

Requirements
