About The Position

Controls and issues currency and cash used by the resort. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Responsible and accountable for funds from all cash transactions occurring during shift in accordance with company’s internal controls and requirements of the Gaming Commission on Accounting and Internal controls. Responsible for the flow of and documentation of money and other cash equivalent documents through the vault to support daily gaming activities. Verifies and processes currency exchanges and transfers for Vault windows. Accepts returned cash drawers and counts down the bank for overages and shortages. Secures cash/currency to be deposited at the bank and handles transfer of funds. Responsible for the redemption and consolidation of counter checks, maintaining accountability of counter checks after issuance. Responsible for maintaining accountability of Player’s Bank Will function as a Cashier (102009) when assigned Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong accounting and money-handling skills are a necessity.
  • Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.
  • Computer literacy with ability and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Knowledge of MCRS internal controls
  • Must be proficient at a 10 key calculator.
  • Good interpersonal skills are a necessity.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of six months Vault Cashier I experience or equivalent.

  • Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
  • Tact and diplomacy are essential.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as rules and regulations, instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to guests or team members.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it.
  • The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.
  • Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events.
  • A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday.
  • Position may require overtime.
