About The Position

Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, Texas, where we provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping detainees gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.
What you'll do: Perform a variety of clerical and postal duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and (1) year related experience required.
• Must successfully complete required pre-service training.
• A valid driver license in Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Process all incoming and outgoing detainee correspondence, prepare forms, and maintain records and files related to detainee correspondence.
• Sort, open, inspect and scan detainee correspondence. Maintain related records. Deliver detainee mail.
• Act as authorized courier for receipt of registered, special delivery or other mail received for employees and/or detainees.
• Sort departmental mail and provide information and responses to inquiries regarding routine mailroom procedures.
• Maintain contact with US Postal Service personnel and private mail carriers (i.e., UPS, Federal Express, etc.). Operate postal equipment and ascertain postage needed.
• Requires regular pushing and pulling of mail carts and long periods of walking and standing.
