About The Position

The Mailroom Associate is responsible for performing all mailroom and ancillary functions such as processing inbound/outbound mail, parcel shipments; including domestically and worldwide. Incumbents will perform mailroom duties in a timely manner to meet SLAs consistently and will identify and taking the initiative to resolve problems common to the position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one (1) year of previous mail room experience.
  • Working knowledge in the operation of high speed mailing equipment
  • Excellent organizational, verbal / written communication, and customer service skills
  • Computer literate with working knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Customer service focused
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to coordinate mail room activities
  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record (not to exceed three (3) moving violations and / or accidents in the past three (3) years)
  • Must be able to lift / move materials of 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Processes all inbound and outbound overnight shipments throughout the campus. Receives, logs, and delivers, and tracks all incoming UPS, FedEx and courier packages daily.
  • Manages the daily, weekly, and monthly schedule of global campus to campus packets and remote teammate packets.
  • Manages and maintains online UPS shipping access and removal.
  • Responsible for distribution of all packages and deliveries processed through the mailroom.
  • Open, stamp, sort, and deliver all US mail as according to policy.
  • Process all outgoing mail which includes weighing and applying the appropriate postage and deliver to the Post Office
  • Order shipping supplies through Pitney Bowes, UPS, and USPS.
  • Filter out incoming checks for Accounts Receivable.
  • Procure, dispense and maintain office supply inventory. Maintain stationery inventory.
  • Assist customers/clients during campus site visits.
  • Transport mail between facilities – if applicable.
  • Provide Iron Mountain off-site records assistance.
  • Provide company business card assistance.
  • Administer UPS Campus Ship process.
  • Provide back up to switchboard receptionist position as needed.
  • Provide back up to Facility Technician I position as needed.
  • Other departmental functions and projects as directed / required by management.
