About The Position

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join us as a Mailing Services Technician. This job requires the person to: Sort and process incoming and outgoing company mail pieces. Accurately file agency mail by numerical agency code and name. Check and determine the most prudent mailing method. Assemble and attach applicable forms and endorsements. Thoroughly review filed documents and/or assembled policies for accuracy. Operate mailing equipment and computer applications. Those activities associated with mail operations, including, but not limited to frequently standing and walking for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 35 pounds, at times shoulder level, and maneuvering carts weighing up to 1,000 pounds. Assist with the training of others. Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request

Requirements

  • The ability to read and accurately file by number.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain a professional business image and work effectively with associates at all levels is required.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team, as well as independently is required.
  • A high school education or equivalent job related experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of office etiquette, filing experience and computer knowledge.
  • Please note that the ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship is a requirement.

  • Experience in related field is preferred.
