About The Position

The main purpose of this job is to identify incoming mail from USPS and sort in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements.
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 1+ year experience in a related field required

  • Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Responsibilities

  • Sort inter-office mail to proper recipient and/or department
  • Transport inbound and outbound mail volume (up to 50 lbs.) through the use of a mail cart to internal departments and customers located within a three block radius (may be subjected to inclement weather – rain, snow, heat and cold)
  • Maintain accountability of tracked mail pieces by scanning and obtaining signatures upon delivery
  • Assess outbound mail type and process under proper class and rate; allocate postage expense to appropriate department/cost center
  • Perform other duties as assigned
