Acrisure is seeking a mail clerk to support our claims team in Springfield, Illinois. This is a fully on-site role and a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in an office environment and grow within the insurance industry. In this role, you will help process incoming and outgoing mail, organize documents, and support the claims team with important administrative tasks. You will play a key part in ensuring information is handled accurately and efficiently so claims can be processed without delay. This position is well suited for someone who is dependable, detail oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team. No prior insurance experience is required, training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Open, sort, and scan incoming claims related mail by program and state
  • Index and organize mail, emails, and faxes within internal systems
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail, including bulk and special handling items
  • Perform internal mail pick up and delivery within the office
  • Manage documents and ensure accurate transfer into document management systems
  • Assist with preparation of mailings and notices to policyholders and agents
  • Support the claims team with document handling and administrative tasks
  • Provide backup support for incoming calls or customer inquiries as needed
  • Maintain accuracy and organization across all mail and document processes
  • Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned
